Regrets.

Jim Rohn saying “We suffer one of two things.  Either the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. You’ve got to choose discipline, versus regret, because discipline weighs ounces and regret weighs tons.”  If you look back on your life and you have some pain of regret, make the decision today to never feel that pain again.

In some chapters of my life, some paragraphs were extremely dark and painful and probably in those times I would’ve chosen to “fast-forward” the pages. And then I thought about “what if I pressed the fast forward button to the place where I’ve arrived?” And I honestly thought to myself “how boring that would be.” Seriously, we all dream of “arriving” but then again, that would take away all the pleasure, and experience of overcoming obstacles, climbing “our” mountain and showing up to the “winner’s circle” with a blanket of flowers on my back! I’ve learned that we have one life. And in this one life, we can achieve anything we want for the thrill, fun, and experience of it. I’ve learned to enjoy each and every moment. Okay, some moments are not that great, but when that too shall pass, it’s an awesome feeling to look back to know that I have either learned from those lessons or gained insightful wisdom to use the next time around with greater clarity. Life IS fun! And when I look at it this through this perspective, I realize that there is only good all the way around! ~ Shannon Tecson
